ISO Class 3 Fire Department
Your New Hartford Firefighters are proud to be an ISO Class 3 fire department. This rating, which has a low of 10 and a high of 1, is issued by the Insurance Services Office. It acts as a score to rate a community’s preparedness to fight fires. Several different factors are considered for this rating, such as equipment, training, manpower, apparatus, and response, among many others. The higher a community’s score, the lower the insurance premiums are for homeowners within the fire district.
